St. Linus Church, Dearborn Heights

St. Linus Parish was established in 1956 and the church was built the following year, in the northern part of Dearborn Heights.

A statue of the parish patron faces the street.

The sanctuary of the church was likely remodeled at some point. There are three large windows on the right side of the sanctuary, likely where an altar used to stand.

An image of the Descent of the Holy Spirit is above the tabernacle, on the left side, inspired by the window at St. Peter's Basilica. A crucifix with Blessed Virgin Mary and St. John the Apostle on the right side.

Stations of the Cross line the back wall of the church, along with large depictions of Gospel scenes

A statue of Christ with children sits in between the church and grade school; a stained-glass window in the vestibule depicts the sacraments.

Fr. Patrick Stoffer, OFM. Conv., has been pastor for the last two years. Daily Mass is at 6:00pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. Mass is at 8:30am on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Saturday Vigil Mass is at 4:00pm while Sunday Masses are at 9:00am and 11:00am.

AOD parish schedules, March 13–April 5

All public Masses and public events within the Archdiocese of Detroit are suspended until Monday, April 6th (or otherwise announced by the Archdiocese). However, many churches are open for private prayer and, at some churches, the Blessed Sacrament is exposed and priests are available for Confession. All schedules are tentative and incomplete so I recommend that you contact a parish to confirm.

Our Lady of Good Counsel (Plymouth)

Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish is celebrating its centennial this year. The church's sanctuary was renovated in early 2019 with a new altar and new tabernacle.

St. James the Greater, St. John the Apostle, and St. Thérèse of Lisieux.

The Holy Family stands near the sacristy; Resurrected Christ stands behind the altar.

A large depiction of Our Lady of Good Counsel, the parish patron, in a corner.

Madonna and Child (center) are surrounded by American saints and blesseds. On the left: Blessed Solanus Casey, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, and Venerable Fulton Sheen. On the right: St. Frances Cabrini, Venerable Pierre Toussaint, St. Kateri Tekakwitha.
